Grey’s Anatomy the Musical?!

Yes, Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes revealed in an interview with TV Guide that she and her team of writers are currently working on a musical episode. But that won’t fit with the show’s style I hear you cry?! Never fear as Rhimes always ensures she produces the best for the medical drama. We’re not going to see a musical episode a la Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It’s not going to be a Broadway style show, but an episode that focuses on songs that show has made famous sung by the cast.

Rhimes says: “Part of the way I figured out that we could do this was to take the songs that our show has made iconic and have them be sung by our cast members, as opposed to singing Broadway songs or singing some songs by a known artist. We're simply singing songs that Grey's Anatomy has made famous.”

With two singing stars in Chandra Wilson and Sara Ramirez (Ramirez is a Tony award winner) I'm sure it will be an entertaining episode.
